Open to everyone

In yoga traditions there are many different types of yogic practices. Most of us start by working with the body (Hatha Yoga).

During this course you will learn about different aspects of Hatha yoga to gain a deeper understanding of this ancient tradition and how it is as relevant today as it was thousands of years ago.

“Yoga means uniting oneself with whatever is positive and uplifting in life” – Swami Niranjananda Saraswati. You will learn physical practices (asanas), breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation practices. Because mind and body are intimately connected, yoga reduces mental tension, stimulates energy levels and balances the nervous system. Regular practice leads to an acceptance and a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us.

During the course you will learn

• Anti Rheumatic Group of Asanas • Digestive/Abdominal Group • Energy Block Postures • The mechanics of the breath • Pranayama practices • Relaxation practices

At the end of the 4 week course you will have gained a deeper understanding of the benefits of yoga and an overall sense of wellness in mind, body and spirit.
